A study visit of experts of the Competition Council of the Kingdom of Morocco is taking place at the premises of the Hellenic Competition Commission in Athens, from 18 to 22 September 2023. 

The ongoing study visit is part of the European Twinning Programme "Renforcement des capacités institutionnelles du Conseil de la Concurrence du Royaume du Maroc""Renforcement des capacités institutionnelles du Conseil de la Concurrence du Royaume du Maroc" aiming at strengthening the institutional capacity and operation of the Competition Council of the Kingdom of Morocco. The implementation of the programme was awarded to a consortium led by the Hellenic Competition Commission (HCC), in cooperation with the National Competition Authorities of Poland and Italy. 

The purpose of the visit is the training of the experts of the Moroccan Competition Council on matters pertaining to competition law enforcement, case law, at national, European and international level, law enforcement practices and institutional framework of National Competition Authorities, as well as on matters concerning the organization and operation thereof.

It is noted that the HCC and the Competition Council of the Kingdom of Morocco maintain a close cooperation and have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on March 29, 2022.

The study visit was organized by the HCC’s Directorate for International Relations and Communications.
