The Hellenic Competition Commission (HCC) on 07.10.2021 published its second Opinion in the press distribution sector, according to article 11 of Law 3959/2011 on regulatory intervention in sectors of the economy. The HCC found that, even after the first public consultation, there are no conditions for effective competition in this sector and decided to put in a second public consultation a range of proposed relevant measures to create conditions for effective competition inviting all interested parties to contribute.
In order to facilitate the second consultation procedure, the HCC decided to extend the consultation deadline (which expired on 08.10.2021) until 18.11.2021.
It is reminded that any individual can take part in the public consultation, regardless of the invocation of legal interest. The submission of the views of a legal entity participating in the consultation is made by its legal representative.
The HCC welcomes all comments and opinions of those who are interested in participating in the consultation and wish to disclose any information they have that are useful in shaping the decision of the HCC.
