The Hellenic Competition Commission, in the context of its strategic planning to strengthen its international presence and influence on shaping competition policies, both in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Balkans as well as at European and international level, along with its effort to extend cooperation with other national competition authorities at a bilateral level, proceeded with the signing of a Memorandum of Partnership  with the Commission for Protection of Competition of the Republic of Serbia on 28.02.2022.

The signing of the Memorandumby the Presidents of the two Competition Authorities, Ioannis Lianos and Nebojša Perić, took place virtually in view of the restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation, however both Competition Authorities have planned the exchange of visits and the organisation of joint actions in the near future, within the scope of the Memorandum of Partnership.

The signing of the above Memorandum of Partnership represents another important step forward in enhancing the HCC’s international activity and outreach.
