The competent Chamber of the Hellenic Competition Committee, on 17/10/2019, approved unanimously, with its 692/2019 decision, according to article 8 par. 3 of law 3959/2011, the proposed merger notified on 05/07/2019 regarding the acquisition of exclusive control by "MEDITERRANEAN PAPER SOLE SHAREHOLDER SA", on part of the assets and liabilities of "HARTEL SA".

In its decision, the HCC considered that this acquisition, which concerns the markets for the production / marketing of (a) carton paper, (b) corrugated cardboard, and (c) corrugated cartons, even though it falls within the scope of paragraph 1 of article 6 of law 3959/2011, it does not cause serious doubts as to its compatibility with the requirements of free competition in the relevant markets concerned.
