| Summary of Decision |
The competent Chamber of the Hellenic Competition Commission (HCC), with its no. 576/VII/2013 unanimous decision, approved, pursuant to article 8 par. 3 of L. 3959/2011, the notified merger resulting from the transfer to “National Bank οf Greece S.A.” of part of the corporate activity of the company under the name “FBB - First Business Bank S.A.”. The revocation/recall of the operating license of FBB and its placement in a special clearance regime pursuant to the procedure of law 3601/2007, preceded the notified transfer. By its decision, the Hellenic Competition Commission considered that the aforementioned concentration, which refers primarily to the banking sector, does not raise serious doubts as to its compatibility with the competition rules in the relevant markets concerned. |
