| Summary of Decision |
The Plenary Session of the Hellenic Competition Commission (HCC), under its no. 584/VII/2013 unanimous decision, approved the notified concentration with regard to the acquisition of sole control by the company “Eurobank Ergasias S.A”over the transitional credit institution under the name “New Hellenic Postbank”, pursuant to article 8 of L. 3959/2011. The Competition Commission considered that this concentration, which refers primarily to the banking sector, does not raise serious doubts as to its compatibility with the competition rules in the relevant markets concerned. It is pointed out that the Hellenic Competition Commission had already allowed, with its preliminary decision of 19.7.2013, by way of derogation, the implementation of the above transaction, before the approval decision of the HCC. |
